Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how PitchView AI ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the PitchView AI mobile application (the "App") and this website (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect

Account information. When you sign up, our authentication provider (Clerk) collects your email address and a password. Email verification codes are sent to confirm your address.

Usage & quota data. To enforce plan limits, we store render usage counters (e.g., renders used today, plan type) as metadata attached to your account. We do not maintain a separate database of your activity.

Photos and prompts. When you request a render, the photo you capture or upload and the text instruction you write are transmitted to our AI image provider (Google's Gemini API) solely to generate the requested image. We do not store your photos, prompts, or generated renders on our servers.

Purchase information. Subscriptions are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play and managed via RevenueCat. We receive subscription status (e.g., "Pro active") but never your payment card details.

Device data. Standard technical data (device model, OS version, crash logs) may be processed to keep the App working reliably.

2. Where your content lives

Your projects — original photos, renders, and variations — are stored locally on your device, associated with your account. Deleting a project in the App, or deleting the App, removes that content from your device. We cannot recover it for you.

3. How we use information

• To create and secure your account and verify your email
• To generate the renders you request
• To enforce Free and Pro plan quotas
• To process and validate subscriptions
• To fix bugs, prevent abuse, and improve the Service

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your photos or prompts to train our own AI models.

4. Third-party processors

• Clerk — authentication and account metadata
• Google (Gemini API) — AI image generation from your photo and prompt
• RevenueCat — subscription management
• Apple / Google — payment processing and app distribution

Each processor handles data under its own privacy terms; we share only what is necessary to provide the Service.

5. Sharing renders

When you use "Share with client", the image is shared through your device's native share sheet directly to the app you choose. That sharing is under your control and subject to the receiving service's terms.

6. Data retention

Account data (email, plan, usage counters) is retained while your account exists. Photos and prompts sent for rendering are processed transiently and are not retained by us. You can delete your account at any time in the App or by contacting us, which removes your account data from our systems.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location (including under the GDPR if you are in the EU/EEA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, restrict or object to processing, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. 8. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures — encrypted transport (TLS), managed authentication, and server-side quota enforcement — to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure; keep your credentials confidential.

10. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the App or on this page, with the "Last updated" date revised.
